It was nice to meet you at Sandy's
party. I was glad to give you a ride home. I am happy we are getting
to know each other better. Right now I am waiting on the platform
for a train and writing to you. I'm taking a business trip to San
Francisco. The distance is 425 miles and it will take about 15 hours.
I got a ticket for the last sleeper, so at least I will have a bed
to sleep in. My sister, Alice, lives in San Francisco, so I will
stay with her. I arrive at 7 a.m. Alice is going to meet me at the
train station and drive me to her house. I hope to see you when
I return from my trip. May I take you out to dinner on the 10th? |

There are many freeways in Los Angeles.
They are very important because Los Angeles is big and most people
must use automobiles to get around. Los Angeles is the third largest
city in the United States. Since most of its buildings are low,
it takes up a vast amount of land. Some of its communities are along
the ocean; others are inland, in the valleys, or on the hillsides.
There are a number of ethnic groups in the city; Spanish-speaking,
black, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and others. This makes
Los Angeles a very interesting place to visit. |

Last night I was walking my
god on Bay Street. At 8:25 I was in front of 1142 Bay Street. A
car was going down Bay Street very fast. It hit a mini-van that
was parked in front of 1311 Bay Street. The right front part of
the car hit the left back part of the mini-van. The car slowed down,
But then it speeded up and drove away. The car was dark blue or
black. It was an old car. The license number started AJ3 or AJ8.
I didn't see everything because it was dark. The number of the mini-van
was SG3-456. |
